So, a year or so ago, my wife was diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes... no big deal, they put her on medication, we worked to alter her diet, she's been loosing weight, figured things were going good. Yesterday she gets the results of her latest blood screening... and they bumped her medication up to the highest it can go... apparently her long-term A1C was incredibly high despite her feeling fine and doing virtually everything right... the next step if this new medication doesn't work is, well, insulin...
